My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ROSCOE is a very special 8 year-old guy. ROSCOE is completely house-trained and is truly a gentleman in his foster's home and has shown no destructive behavior. One of his favorite spots in the house: the couch. If you're cool with him lounging on furniture, he is 100% approved to free roam!

ROSCOE is great with other dogs but proper introductions are always recommended. He is a true 8 year-young guy who loves to play and absolutely loves water. Be sure to shut the bathroom door while showering to avoid a visit from ROSCOE. He would really benefit from a family who works from home, a homemaker or retired. Another thing about this guy is that he is a huge fan of walks but he is a bit of a klutz and would really need someone to pay close attention to his demeanor and beware for sudden stops mid-walk!

Aside from the couch, the walks and lots of water play, ROSCOE wants his person (or people) who will love and care for him like no one else! Trust us when we say this guy will melt your heart and will follow your lead anywhere!

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
