For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This dignified cat knows what he wants, but for now, likes attention on his own terms, as he is still learning to trust. Coming for cuddles when his foster mom is reading or watching TV is his favorite thing, purring and snuggling next to her, and likes sleeping on her bed, getting more cuddles. While his fur is very soft and silky, it does not seem to mat, and he may be part Birman. The vet thinks he is between 6 and 8 years old, but his foster mom now thinks he's possibly younger. He runs and plays some with a one year old cat, Flynn, in his foster home. He can join a home with adults or teens.. He gets along with other cats in his foster home, as long as they don't bother his food. Who can blame him? He was extremely thin when he was taken in, but has gained weight with good meals. Olaf is a large boy and will need regular meals of wet food to thrive. He is still adjusting to his home, but seems more and more happy and content. His loving purrs and cuddles will win you over--won't you give this handsome kitty his forever home?

More about this rescue
The Fayette County Humane Society (FCHS), staffed entirely by volunteers, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported entirely by individual and corporate donations. Because we do not have a shelter, all of the animals we rescue live in temporary foster homes until they are adopted. We believe that all companion pets have intrinsic value and should be treated with the reverence and care they deserve.
