Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our Lala is a beguiling beauty, who arrived at our Connecticut Rescue showing signs of some trauma in her mysterious past. She needs a strong, patient hand to help boost her confidence.
Lala was found as a country stray in North Carolina, and Animal Control Officers brought her to a rural Shelter. After her Stray hold expired, nobody came looking for her, so she made the trip North to our place.
Lala is a shy, gentle soul, who takes time to warm up to new people. She has adapted nicely to her foster home, and seems to really enjoy human companionship and touch, once she settles in. Two years old, Lala is an older puppy, who still needs a good deal of exercise to work out her yayas, at least two to three brisk leash walks daily, as well as ongoing obedience work to build her confidence.
Lala has a lean, graceful physique, and she is small for her Treeing Walker Coonhound breed at just 45 pounds. She is extremely gentle and loving. She seems to crave gentle human touch, and has allowed all handling here. Even our Vet was impressed with her sweet nature.
Lala is a sensitive girl, and she would thrive in an active adult home in which adopters have time to devote to her exercise and training needs. She may be overwhelmed by busy families with small children, but she could easily join a multi-dog home, and would likely do well with cats. Lala has good house manners and is mostly house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during her transition to a new home.
Lala is in good health, and has gained some healthy weight, but should probably continue to put on another couple of pounds. She would be ideal at 50 pounds. She has been recently spayed, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings.
If you are interested in Lala, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.
