Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $200, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home
Miss Gracie is getting more and more comfortable with everyone, more vocal but still a little skittish. She's eating dry food better than wet at this point and drinking plenty of water, a healthy girl! She also doesn't like wet treats, but likes dry ones. She plays with toy mice (even brought one to us, a talented hunter!) and sometimes with the wiggle worm poles. She is not a fan of birds or feather toys. She has taken over the cat condo, looking out the window between naps. She expects us to all go to bed at the same time and sits on the stairs, guarding the children before we go to bed. She would be a wonderful addition to a family!
Gracie is about 1 year old, she has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date with all of her vaccinations.
If you are interested in meeting Gracie, please submit an application on Carver Scott Humane Society's website today!

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
