Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Beluga!
This delightful gentleman arrived at HSoP as a stray, after he was found running around the water tower on UI campus. Despite several posts on social media, he was unfortunately never claimed by an owner. Now he's on the hunt for a loving home to call his own!
We estimate Beluga to be around 2 or 3 years old. Since he arrived as stray, there isn't much that we know about his background. In the time he's been at HSoP, we've observed Beluga to be an absolute firecracker! This boy is packed with energy and always bouncing around. He likes to jump and sometimes, he even likes to dance. With all this energy to be considered, Beluga will require daily walks or access to a secure outdoor space to ensure he's getting enough exercise each day.
Not only is he energetic, Beluga has a very happy demeanor. He keeps a big smile on his face most of the time, and is truly pleased to have human company. He loves being pet and scratched!
Beluga would benefit from continued training in his future home. He knows how to sit on command, but could improve with "stay" and learning more commands. He's very excited about treats, but make sure you ask him to go "gentle"! Sometimes he can get a little over excited, and confuse your finger for the biscuit.
It's unknown if Beluga has ever shared a home with cats, children, or other dogs. We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption, and require all dogs to meet any canines in the home prior to leaving HSoP. Beluga'a adoption fee is $135. He will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped with his new owner's information by the time he goes home.
Interested in Beluga? We aren't surprised! Stop by HSoP and get to know this lovely pup between 1-5pm Monday through Saturday. HSoP is located at 2019 E White Ave Moscow, ID 83843.
