MEET SUNBEAM!

Are you looking to add a little light to your home as we venture into autumn and winter? Mellow and easy-to-please, Sunbeam seems content to hang out, enjoy yummy canned food snacks, and watch the other kitties bounce around. At around 6 years old, Sunbeam is probably over the high energy kitten phase, so she`d be nice company if you`re looking for a chill feline roommate. Sunbeam seems to enjoy the company of the other kitties that she shares space with, but it`s not a requirement that she go home to another cat. Come meet this pretty gray lady in our Dedham Colony Room!

Sunbeam is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston is committed to matching adoptable animals with a permanent home. Our conversation-based, application-free adoption process is designed so that the needs of both the animal and the adopter are understood and compatible with one another. We require the following as part of the adoption process:
* Adopter must be 18 years of age or older
* A current government-issued ID (no student IDs)
* Have a conversation with an ARL adoption counselor
* A photo of the cage your pet will live in, if adopting a small animal or bird

Situated 10 miles southwest of Boston on the beautiful grounds of the former summer sanctuary for the city’s working horses, ARL’s newly remodeled shelter in Dedham, Massachusetts is just a glimpse into ARL’s bold future. The new modern shelter design allows us to provide even more animals with high-quality direct animal care that meets best-practice standards in animal welfare.

The 27-acre property serves as ARL’s main livestock center and is home to Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery, the oldest continuously operated pet cemetery by a humane society in the United States.
