My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baxter's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Baxter's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=007822) to learn even more about Baxter!

Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Baxter is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses.

PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org.

Baxter is a sweet mush with bright puppy eyes that will melt your heart! He's very chill inside and is perfectly happy to laze on the couch/floor while you work and comes over occasionally when he wants some attention and affection; if you're up and about he'll keep his eye on you and then keep you company if you switch rooms. But once you touch his leash, his butt starts wiggling and his face tells you he's ready to go go go! This good boy is still getting used to all the sights, smells and sounds in the city but loves to walk. He gets antsy around busses and trucks but is working really hard on overcoming his fear. Baxter's starting to show interest in a squeaky ball so his playful side is starting to emerge as he decompresses. He's still learning the "bring the ball back" part of fetch but he'll be a pro in no time! Baxter is thin right now but he has a good appetite for his regular food and is getting lots of cheese, peanut butter and HOT DOGS with his crate training! He'll also do some tricks for extra treats throughout the day (he knows sit, down, paw, other paw, and is working on improving his 'stay'). And added bonus - Baxter is very low shed!
