Say hello to the perfect, sweet and dainty Jezebel. This kitten was trapped in LaPorte along with two siblings and mom. Mom was fixed, vaccinated and returned to her home. Jezebel was the most fearful of her three siblings and went to a trained foster home to help her find her courage and confidence. Immediately in foster, Jezebel blossomed. She purrs the moment you touch her; she makes biscuits while eating and LOVES other cats. She would love to have a big sister or brother to show her the ropes of indoor life. She is also used to the smells and sounds of the two large breed dogs in the foster home. She is still shy, so would do best in a home without small children. Her fur is incredible soft, she uses the litter box perfectly and is just overall a gentle soul. Ask about her today and help her write her next chapter!

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.

Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
