Meet Taz! This playful 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog was found in St. Peters on 9/9/24. While he might seem a bit nervous and reserved at first, the key to his heart is through PLAY! Taz absolutely loves chasing tennis balls and carrying around jolly balls.

Though he`s quiet and takes some time to feel comfortable around other dogs, he would thrive with a respectful canine friend who gives him the space to warm up. Taz`s perfect match would be a dog who shares his gentle play style.

As an Australian Cattle Dog, Taz would do best in an active and patient home, ready to shower him with love and plenty of cattledog stimulation!

Due to his instinct to chase, he would not do well in a home with cats. Could you be the one to help Taz come out of his shell and live his best life?

To adopt a pet, we encourage you to visit the Pet Adoption Center as often as you like. You will be asked to fill out an adopton application and speak to a staff member who will help you make your selection. We are happy to keep your information on file and work with you to the best of our ability to help you find the perfect pet. Adoption fees are $60.00 this includes, spay or neuter, microchip, worming, some vaccinations, and heartworm test for. We offer a feline leukemia test for $15.00 non refundable at the time of adoption.

We are located across from the St. Charles Community College, approximately 3 miles south of I70 and 1 mile north of Hwy 94 on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6:30pm, and Saturday 10 to 4pm

St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is a full service animal shelter. Our Animal Control Officers work throughout St. Charles County to protect animals and people and educate animal owners about responsible pet ownership. At our Pet Adoption Center, we take in strays for safe keeping until their owners come to claim them. We offer microchipping services to the public during our regular business hours. The Pet Adoption Center always has a large variety of dogs and cats available for adoption.
