Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
We were instantly smitten with Caitlin! Unlike so many dogs who arrive needing a major glow-up, Caitlin showed up looking clean, healthy, and just gorgeous. She could add a few pounds to her frame, but overall, this girl seemed well cared for. She had the cutest play bows and bursts of silliness and wasted no time having fun and settling in. Caitlin has also had someone teach her a few things. She was happy to show off her sit, down and took treats like a pro. She’s still just a baby with a whole lot of love to give!
Came in as a stray on 8/24/24.
Found near 5000 W. Adams
Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.
The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
