My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She may be itty, she may be bitty, but Itty Bitty is a lot of kitty!! Who knew a tiny ball of fur could be such an adorable menace? Found all alone as a stray, Itty Bitty didn't have siblings around to teach her proper gentle play, so she can get far too rough. That's why she'd love a child-free home with experienced owners that are able to show her that hands are for love, not for biting! Otherwise, Itty Bitty is like any kitten; curious, silly, and cuddly (once she's calmed down), but will need lots of supervision, training, and kitten-proofing to grow into a proper feline friend. If you think you have what it takes, then come see Itty Bitty today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
