Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Zeus, a high-energy pit bull puppy who's eager to find an active home that can match his zest for life! Zeus absolutely loves going for walks and could play in the yard all day if you let him. Once he gets his wiggles out, he likes to snuggle up and get some scratches.
Zeus is crate trained and does well when left home alone, but his puppy energy kicks in big time when he's out and about. He can get very mouthy during play and doesn't realize the strength of his jaw, so he'll need someone with patience and experience to help him learn boundaries. Redirection and enrichment will be essential to keep him busy and guide him toward better habits. Since he's just a pup, he would really benefit from a positive reinforcement training class to learn all the ropes so he can grow into a good adult dog.
If you're looking for a smart, loving pup who will keep you on your toes, Zeus might be the perfect fit for you!
If you're ready to adopt now and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways:
Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt.
**the below two methods are slower than visiting us**
Call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us (springfield@dakinhumane.org) for more information about a pet. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours.
All adult dog adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies and kennel cough vaccinations
- heartworm test
-current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-microchip implanted & registered to adopter
-treatment of fleas & ticks
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
