Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
From her foster: Grandmother Dusty, who we mostly refer to as just Grandma or Dusty, is a sweet, spunky senior lady who is looking for a place to spend her golden years. She is an independent girl who likes to lounge in comfy spots around the house, but as soon as she sees her person moving she's right on your heels. She still has pep in her step and does the cutest dance around the house when she's excited.
Dusty has some vision loss and possible hearing loss, which leads to her being a little skittish at first, but she settles in and gains confidence in a new environment quickly. She has done good in public places such as restaurant patios and pet stores as long as she's with her person. She loves to spend time outside in the yard, moseying around the perimeter and basking in the sunshine. Dusty also enjoys short walks and is good on leash. She is calm, quiet, and easy-going, so she would likely do fine in a home with shared walls.
Dusty is potty trained and crate trained. She will often nap in her kennel with the door open, but also does great being left out when home alone. She is good with other dogs, but because of her vision loss, high-energy dogs can be a little much for her. Overall, Dusty is a well-rounded girl who is a great dog for someone looking for a low-maintenance companion.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
