My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOR ADOPTION: ROCKY is an absolutely adorable approximately 10 month old male looking for his forever family. This little guy is extremely lucky. He showed up on a rural property and was quite fearful of all the activity around him so the property owners presumed him feral and a nuisance. He was trapped and dropped off at the vet clinic to be euthanized. Luckily one of the staff members at the clinic noticed that Rocky was not acting like a truly feral cat so she took a closer look at him and realized he allowed himself to be pet and then held. Feral cats are truly wild, not just abandoned or scared. She reached out to NWAS and and we had just one space left that we could set a kennel up in, so we gave it to Rocky. He was advertised as found and never claimed. Since arriving Rocky has quickly settled in and shown us the true cuddle monster he is. Rocky loves snuggles and affection from people of all ages. He has been quite comfortable with the large, calm dogs we’ve introduced him to. We’ve not had much opportunity to socialize Rocky with other cats yet because the kennel space we had to create to save him is in our office. That being said Rocky is quite gentle and submissive by nature so we are expecting him to do well with the other cats. Rocky does have a young, playful energy to him when he is not busy cuddling. Rocky is very happy indoors where he feels safe and secure. He could eventually learn to enjoy a catio for sunny days or potentially learn to walk on a harness. He is neutered, vaccinated and up to date on parasite control. If you’ve been looking for a gentle and loving young cat apply today at www.NWAS.ca for a chance to meet ROCKY #NWASRocky
