This little happy youngster is Fresco, he is right around 7 months old. He weighs in around 19# only and is just a sweet festive boy no taller then your knee (yep pictures make him look tall). He was found abandoned by one of our Southern foster’s homes with another dog and rescued from there. Happy-go-lucky describes his wonderful goofy personality the best. He has a lot of energy and likes to go-go-go, but when you settle, he will too. He particularly likes sun naps on the couch whenever possible. He does great with other dog friends and has hung out at a doggy daycare just playing and playing. Fresco has had limited interactions with kitties, but would have to be monitored to make sure, he may think they are fun to chase, lol. He has been doing well with his house and crate manners and will just need a little more work on leash manners is all. He is treat motivated (this boy loves to eat!) and is learning basic commands. Fresco loves to chew bones, run around with his stuffies and cuddle with them in his bed. As far as breed goes we are a little confused, he is truly an Alabama special. He is now fully vetted and ready to venture into this big world and find his own forever family to love. A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.
Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
