My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Archie: A Playful and Loving Companion

Meet Archie, a handsome mixed breed dog who's looking for a loving home. Archie was found tied to the gate of the local shelter, and he's been in a foster home since then. He's a year old and full of energy, eager to learn and make new friends.

Archie loves to play fetch, run around with his dog friends, and chase tennis balls. He's a playful and affectionate boy who's always up for a good time. He's also very smart and eager to please

Archie is doing well with being house-trained and crate-trainedHe's a loving and social dog who gets along well with other dogs. He has learned that cats can be friends too.  He's also very affectionate with people and loves to cuddle.

Archie is looking for a family who can provide him with lots of love, attention, and exercise. He's a playful and energetic dog who needs a home where he can run and play. He's also a smart and eager to please dog, so he'll need a family who can provide him with consistent training and guidance.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and playful companion, Archie is the perfect dog for you. He's a young dog who's full of life and ready to bring joy into your home. He's sure to be a loving and devoted member of your family.

Additional adoption info

Who says you can't buy love? Our adoption rates say different. Our adoption fee covers the pet's spay/neuter, vaccinations, heart worm testing, and worming. We require interested parties to complete our adoption application with veterinarian and personal references. If approved we will work with you to schedule a meeting with the pet, and if you decide to adopt, our contract is the last step. We do not adopt to homes with intact pets or to people under 21 years of age.

Go meet their pets

All our adoptable pets are in foster homes where we socialize them with people and other animals. Along with adoption events we are an agency partner with the PetSmart store in Spring Hill, TN, in The Crossings shopping center as well as PetSense in Columbia, TN. Our cats can be seen during store hours in the Cat Adoption Room. Due to Covid, store times vary so please contact the store prior to your visit to see what we have available. If you are interested in meeting one of our furbabies, simply contact us, and we will work with you to schedule a meeting. Since we are an all-volunteer rescue, please be patient, as it may take up to 72 hours for a response. Thank you!

More about this rescue

We believe that pets are family members who fill our lives with joy and meaning. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue group that strives to make a difference in the lives of animals within our rural community in south central Tennessee. Through our Spay/Neuter Program for Giles County residents we know that the result will be a huge reduction in the amount of unwanted cats and dogs in our County.

Rescues exist because of the overpopulation of cats and dogs. About 2.4 million healthy, adoptable cats and dogs are put down in U.S. shelters each year. Often these animals are the offspring of cherished family pets. Spay/Neuter is a proven way to reduce pet overpopulation, ensuring that every pet has a family to love them.

The Giles County Humane Association lends a voice to those animals who cannot speak for themselves.
