Hey, I'm Marvin! I am a young, energetic boy that came to the shelter as a stray and never was reclaimed. That being said, I am now looking for a new forever home to call my own! I have lots of energy and spunk and would love a family who is willing to give me lots of walks and playtime! I could use some training when it comes to not pulling on a leash and being jumpy, but that's nothing a little work can't fix! I get along with most people, but I may be a little too much for some smaller kiddos, so I would probably do best in a home with older kids that can handle my energy level. As for other dogs, I do get a little overexcited with some of the dogs here at the shelter, but with the right fit and proper introduction to any new canine friends, I should be able to go home with another dog in the future! I have such a zest for life, and I would love to share that with someone! Think that could be with you? Ask to meet me at the shelter!

HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
