Hi! I’m Doug! I am an active and adventurous guy who gets along great with other dogs. I have not been around cats yet to know how I would do around them. I am house trained and crated trained and can be left out of my crate when you leave the home. My favorite treat is peanut butter bread. I love to take walks, but am still working on walking well on a leash. I am a great cuddler, but also enjoy activity and adventure and really, really like undivided attention from my human so much so that a home with small children may not be best for me. I get a little jealous of my foster fur siblings as well, so a home where I am the only pet and can enjoy all the attention would probably be best for me – at least until I get settled in to my new life. I am so excited to have a family all my own who will provide me all the love and attention and activity that I deserve! Our fees depend on age of pet but include all relevant shots, vetting, micro-chip and spay/neuter unless a vet recommends not doing.

We do require a contract, home and vet check. All animals currently in your home must also be spayed/neutered unless a vet recommends otherwise.

Cause for Canines is a 501(c)(3)volunteer based all-breed dog rescue founded in Central Ohio.

We are committed to the rescue of homeless dogs, dogs given up by their owners due to difficult circumstances or those in danger of abuse or neglect, and dogs in shelters that are at risk of euthanasia.

Our mission is to find safe, loving, committed and permanent homes for the dogs we take into rescue.
