Meet the Pet
This helps The Rescue Crew with pet care costs.
Hi there my name is Trixie! I am a sweet and adorable white lab. My foster mom says that I am incredibly soft and VERY chill for a puppy. I am still settling in at my foster home but am already feeling pretty comfortable. They have 2 other dogs here that I just get so excited to see and play with. I have not had an accident since I have arrived as I like to do my business outside. My foster mom is already teaching me "tricks" like sit and kennel. So far I am catching on pretty fast as long as the other dogs arent around to distract me. Speaking of kennels I do well in it at night. It does take a few minutes for me to settle down after going in there but after that I am pretty quiet and sleep through out the night. My foster mom did say she has watched me on the camera barking during the day but that was when people were at the door. We have been putting a toy or bone in my kennel during the day and it helps keep me entertained. Like every other lab I have ever met I LOVE balls and I am learning that if I bring it to my foster mom she will throw it for me to chase again! I have her so well trained! There are kids here that I really like they love to give me rubs and kisses. My foster mom thinks that even though I am a puppy I would do fine with kids of all ages since I am not super hyper or jumpy. There are these animals in the back yard that my foster mom calls chickens. I REALLY want to play with them but she wont let me. She keeps saying "Chickens are friends, not food" but I really just want to chase them so maybe no cats or a very dog friendly cat would be best for me. The good news is I am still young and can probably be trained to leave any little friends alone! Right now my foster mom is walking me in the backyard on a leash and she is so impressed with how well I am on a leash since I have never had any leash training! When its time to come into the house I am happy to dig in the toybox and find something to chew on until its time to take a nap. I LOVE the big dog bed that I get to lay in but am happy to lay on the floor as well. What can I say I am just happy to be in a home where I feel safe and loved! I am looking for a forever home that can do the same for me! Could that be you?
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please submit an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.
All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.
