Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Misfit is quite the character as her name suggests. She was pulled from an animal control shelter in Georgia and being a pittie mix and having special needs put her high on the euth list. Misfit has a left club foot and doesn't really let that slow her down but because of the deformity long walks and rough surfaces are not good for her. She is crate trained but has never been inside of a house so crating and schedule training are important when transitioning to a home.
She also has a medical problem with her trachea. We truly don't know if this was a birth defect or from abuse and/or injury. She snorts and makes weird noises due to the drainage and this sometimes freaks out other dogs because they don't understand what she's trying to communicate. The noise may be annoying to people so an adopter with hearing loss would be great, LOL! She has played with other dogs but is dog selective so a meet and greet is necessary.
Misfit is in good health otherwise and on no medications other than preventitives. Since it's a process for her to feel comfortable meeting new people, several meet and greets would be necessary and it would be best for her adopter to live locally to make this process more convenient. It would be so rewarding to win this sweet girl's trust and be able to give her a loving home!To inquire about an animal or submit an application visit https://www.hands2paws.org/adopt.html

We like to do a meet and greet especially if other animals are in the house. Home check conducted to help family addressing issues related to animal safety in house and yard.
Fees range from $75-$300. Animals come fully vetted, micro-chipped, and spayed/neutered (or spay/neuter provided at correct time).
