My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Nala is an estimated 10-month-old 50 lb spayed female mixed breed who was a stray intake to the high-kill San Bernardino city shelter and not claimed. The shelter assessed her to be friendly with people and other dogs, and comfortable with handling with no medical or behavior flags, however she was euth listed for space. This resilient girl got a one-way ticket to Seattle and will be joining Dog Gone Seattle on July 28. We will share more about her as we get to know her in foster care.

Foster Update:   Nala is a sweet and affectionate pup with just the right amount of energy to keep life fun without being overwhelming. She adores playing and equally enjoys lounging on the couch for cozy cuddles. Nala thrives in a calm and serene environment, so she would do best in a home without young kids who might be a bit too lively for her. She walks gracefully on a leash and is getting even better with practice, though she might pull a bit if she’s startled. Nala is a fan of quiet neighborhoods and peaceful parks where she can enjoy her walks without too much hustle and bustle. She’s already crate trained and her foster mom is making great progress with her potty training. Nala is mostly a quiet companion, only barking occasionally at outside noises. If you’re looking for a sweet, serene, and snuggly friend, Nala might be just the girl for you!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV, heartworm test if 6 months or older, microchip with lifetime registration, and health certificate. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.

Animal History: Nala was picked up as a stray in southern California and taken to the high-kill San Bernardino city shelter where she was placed on the euthanasia list for space. She was pulled by our partner ARF and boarded until foster placement was secured, and will be transported to Seattle arriving 7/28/24. She will be available for adoption to the greater Seattle area after evaluated in foster care.
