Meet Boomer, a quintessential boxer puppy. Boomer is all wiggles, supper friendly with all people and dogs, high energy, and fun loving. He is everything you would want in a boxer. Boomer sleeps through the night and is house trained. He doesn't get up on the furniture. He knows sit (although only does it when you have a treat, or he feels like it). Boomer is stubborn in a way that only a boxer can be. If he thinks it's a game, he's ready for it...but listening just to listen, no thank you.
Southpaw Rescue intercepted Boomer when we were at the shelter to pull another dog. Boomer is a high energy boxer puppy, which his previous owners were inexperienced with. But if you know the breed and love puppies, Boomer is perfect! Because he needs some training, he would do best in a home with slightly older children.
He loves the water and when his foster is hosing down the lawn, Boomer is in doggy heaven. He loves to run and jump through the hose. He loves to drink water from the hose.
We are looking for an active family who understands the boxer breed. Boomer is very smart, but he will need some otraining. Bonus would be living near the water or being willing to squirt him with a hose. We envision Boomer going to doggie beach, going to kid's sports events and cuddling with the family during movie nights. Boomer wants and should be an important part of your family life.
