Max was adopted from ACCT Philly and returned/marked AGGRESSIVE WITH CATS/small pets.
Pros:
Great with our family and all neighborhood kids/dogs (all dogs med-large), plays off leash fetch wonderfully. Loves everyone. Max is house-broken and has no accidents in the home. He sleeps all night in his kennel. He does best with larger companions and loves our ~50lb Labrador retriever. They wrestle often and love to play rough before sleeping all day.
Cons:
Pulled on leash walks. Harness for walks works best. He loves to snuggle but DOES NOT understand gentle boundaries. May smother you fully for attention. He doesn't seem to be aware of his size or weight.
Needs training to not jump front paws up on counter/searching for food. Chews a lot and needs bones and distraction. Some food aggression. We fed separately in same room and was calming down with it.
We are struggling with my young toddler and him. He will walk right on top of him. My son has a disability and it isn't safe for him.
