My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toffee was recently rescued by a good samaritan who found him in a culvert in a very rural area. He has the most amazing and friendly personality, and while he loves exploring and chasing feather toys, his all-time favorite pastime is to sit in your lap making biscuits, purring and giving kisses. He is the ultimate lap kitty!
Toffee has a silky, medium-to-long tabby coat the color of orange sherbet, with white socks on all four paws and a handsome bib of white on his chest, along with gorgeous golden eyes.
Toffee is fostered in the Monrovia area outside of Huntsville AL. He is available for pre-adoption and will be ready to go to his FORever home as soon as he is neutered and micro-chipped. If you are interested in adopting Toffee, please go to forrescue.net/cat-application and fill out a non-binding application. This absolute sweetheart is going to go fast!

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
