Mia is a hilarious character once she feels comfortable in her environment. While she can be quite timid at first, she completely transforms into an energetic and playful pup once relaxed. She loves playing with the other dogs in her foster home and is incredibly agile—like a little ninja, running, jumping, and climbing to places you wouldn’t expect her to reach.

Mia forms strong attachments to her main caregiver and sleeps well in her crate at night. However, when her person leaves, she tends to cry, though she has managed being left alone for a few hours with only some initial fussing. She’s already mastered “sit” and is currently working on the “stay” command, as well as curbing her playful puppy nipping when excited.

She’s also getting lots of socialization, visiting coffee shops and other public places, where she handles herself well, especially when she’s in a backpack. Mia is a very lovable dog, and the best home for her would be with a family that can spend plenty of time with her, as she doesn’t like to be alone for long. She would also love having another dog companion, whether a smaller dog or a gentle big dog.
