My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cornelius, a senior survivor. Rescued from the brink of death on a cold January day in 2024, Cornelius was found half-frozen and starving, having clearly endured a tough life on his own. When he arrived in foster care, he was unneutered, flea-infested, suffering from infected ears and teeth, and severely dehydrated. His journey to health wasn't easy, but thanks to his dedicated foster mom, our wonderful vets, and a lot of TLC, Cornelius has fully embraced the comfort of warmth, food, and love for perhaps the first time in his life.

Despite his rough beginnings, Cornelius is now thriving. He's FeLV+ with a grade 3 heart murmur and renal disease, but is feeling better than ever, and he's ready to find a home where he can continue enjoying the good life. His foster mom describes him as a "lumpy man-child" who loves solitude, scritches, and basking in the glow of positive affirmations. He's the type to daintily cross his paws in your lap, nestle in blankets, and offer up his soul-er, affection. If you're looking for a quirky senior who appreciates the finer things in life, like stuffed animals and cozy nooks, Cornelius might just be your perfect match.
