My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dunkin, the ultimate welcoming committee in feline form! This charming young cat is the first to greet you at the door with a happy meow and a gentle paw to remind you he's there to say hello. Dunkin thrives on human interaction and will follow you around the house, making sure you're never short on love or companionship.
This affectionate boy has perfected the art of asking for attention — whether it's a soft paw on your shoulder or an insistent nuzzle against your hand. He’s happiest when he's being petted or curled up on your lap, purring contentedly.
Despite his young age, Dunkin has a calm and endearing personality, making him a great fit for anyone seeking a loyal and loving companion. He's curious, playful, and always ready to brighten your day with his adorable antics.
If you're looking for a best friend who will always be by your side (or on your shoulder!), Dunkin might just be your perfect match. Fill out an application at www.hsnei.org/adoptablecats today to meet this delightful little guy!

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Northeast Iowa (HSNEI) is a 501(c)(3) humane society founded in 1995, in Decorah, Iowa, to help homeless companion animals in the five-county area of Northeast Iowa (Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek counties). Since our founding, we have offered numerous services including dog and cat rescue, fostering and adoption services, humane education, safety and family fun fairs, microchipping for pet identification, financial assistance in spaying/neutering and pet referral services.

Our rescue and adoption program provides temporary care at the Love & Friendship Adoption Center and in foster homes for unwanted and abandoned animals. We also provide a website to help in finding adoptive homes for these animals.

In 2013 the Spay/Neuter Assistance Program of Northeast Iowa (SNAP) joined HSNEI to become one organization working for animals in northeast Iowa.

HSNEI is a Best Friends Network Partner and a PetCo Foundation Partner.
