Hyde is a 4 year old male who came to ACCT as a stray on 9/16. Hyde is noted to be a Wiggly pup who is very energetic and playful but can be mouthy at times which he would do best in a home with children 12+.
On 9/20 Hyde came down with an upper respiratory infection and was started on doxycycline.
On 9/17 staff noted- Hyde was on the backside of kennel sniffing around. When the handler called him he came darting across to the front and was wiggly. He did try to push his way out of kennel but allowed the handler to easily leash him still. Pull moderately on leash. In the yard Hyde was very energetic and playful. He darted around exploring and would come over and jump on us for attention. He was a bit jumpy and lacked manners, but was friendly with us. He was very food motivated and showed knowledge of sit, but was snatchy so use an open palm! He was tolerant for all handling while remaining loose and friendly. Engaged in play, jumpy, as not mouthy though. Interest in toys but no possession
On 9/17 during the initial intake exam Hyde was noted to have hives on the right hind leg and left front and neck. Noted to be Hyper, bright, alert, responsive and friendly during exam.

The Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT Philly) is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider. ACCT Philly is an independent, 501c3 nonprofit organization, contracted by the City of Philadelphia to provide animal control services. Our animal control officers provide service over 142.6 square miles to the city’s more than 1.5 million residents and ACCT Philly’s facility in North Philadelphia handles more than 17,000 of the city’s animals, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually.
In addition to animal control and sheltering, ACCT Philly is open 365 days a year for pet adoptions. ACCT Philly also supports a foster care program where community members provide temporary homes for sheltered animals and one of the (if not THE) most extensive rescue partnership program in the country where approved rescue partners accept ACCT Philly animals into their adoption programs.
