My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Bella and I’m a beautiful Schnoodle mix about 9 months old, 34 lbs, and my coat is a mix of brown and gray. I was off to a terrible start in life, living on the street in Laredo Texas, dirty and matted, covered with ticks, and I was hit by a car at some point. Since nobody cared that my femur was fractured, it eventually healed on its own leaving me with a wonky walk. These days I’m safe and sound, living in a foster home, completely shaved except for my face and tail, but the good news is the surgeon suggested my leg should be left alone since it doesn’t bother me at all. I still walk funny but I can run, jump, and play like every other pup.

I’m a sweetheart, happy and friendly with all humans and other dogs right from our first meeting. I love playtime and tug-o-war, doggy snacks, and kisses on my nose. I’m affectionate and cuddly and I make a funny howl noise whenever I yawn. Otherwise, I’m a quiet girl who's well-behaved and potty-trained and I use a doggy door to let myself out. I enjoy going for walks and taking rides in the car and I’m dreaming of being someone's forever dog. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home!

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
