Meet Kona! (Or Kona Coffee if you want to address her formally). Kona Coffee is a black Lab Mix with sweet brown eyes to die for!

This dog is a true outdoor girl who enjoys a good off-leash run through the forest! She is leash-trained and also has strong recall once trust has been established. A family who camps or goes to the beach often would be right up her alley! As much as Kona loves to be outside, she equally enjoys a good spa day with a hot bath and sudsy soaps! Her favorite part is being wrapped in a warm towel to dry off. You can tell she’s really happy and relaxed when she walks away with a sway in her hips!

Kona is a former military baby, so she offers a fabulous security system for your home. She has the best alarm bark and the appropriate level of warning for strangers at your door! She will let out one bark and immediately stop when you check her work so don’t leave her hanging! This girl is house-trained but would love it if she had a yard to roam in as she is recovering from holding her bladder for 12+ hours at a time in her former living situation.

She feels safest in her crate or your arms! This pup absolutely loves blankets and soft places to snooze. An unfortunate part of her history reveals that she prefers ladies over gentlemen but in her foster home, she is learning to love everyone equally as long as they offer some treats first! Her favorite thing to chew is cow hooves and if you don’t want to take a long walk, she’s perfectly happy to play fetch for a bit!

***Please Note: All the available dogs listed on our website are getting spoiled in private foster homes. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***
