My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Ninja,

I`m approximately 3 years old and came to Macomb County Animal Control after my owner passed away and there was no one to care for me. I`m a little confused by everything that has happened recently, but the nice people at Animal Control are working hard to find me a new furrever home!

Despite lingering superstitions, black cats are known for their sleek, elegant appearance and can make wonderful companions. However, they sometimes face longer stays in shelters because of myths or simply because their features are less noticeable in photographs compared to other cats with lighter or more distinctive markings. Black cats` fur often has a slight shimmer or brown tint under bright sunlight due to a pigment called melanin.

Ninja lives up to her name as it highlights her sleek, stealthy nature, similar to the mysterious and agile warriors of ancient Japan. Her name celebrates her unique, sleek look and the quiet, yet poweful personality that many black cats possess. Ninja is sweet, social and affectionate. She loves attention & being petted. Give her some time, and she`ll give you her heart.

Ninja has lived with other cats, and will need a proper slow introduction if she is joining a home with other cats. This will ensure a successfule integration for all. She has not been around dogs or small humans, so again, supervised slow introductions are necessary. A home with older children is recommended.

Every home need a house panther; Ninja is here waiting for you!

If you are interested in meeting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, they are open M-F from 10am-4pm.
