My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at Woodbridge High School (1 Samuel Lupo Pl, Woodbridge, NJ 07095) from 11am - 3pm.

Meet Ray! Ray is a 5 month old Domestic Shorthair.

Plucked (literally) from a yard on post office property, Ray bears the name of the station manager. He doesn't act like a boss, more like someone who just wants to be your best friend! He was one of 4 kittens found on the property, and the first one to be grabbed.

Having been with his foster family for the really formative months, Ray has evolved into a snuggly, playful, fun loving guy. Nothing bothers him. He is happy playing with toys, or his foster siblings, and he also will seek out his foster for some quality time on the lap, getting body rubs and head scritches.

Ray loves to eat, whether it be his breakfast, dinner, probiotic treat or kitten treats. If he hears or sees the bag being picked up, he's at your side in an instant. If you're looking for a snuggly ginger kitten, Ray might be for you!

Ray is being fostered in Staten Island, NY.

Kittens are only adopted in pairs or to homes with other friendly, social pets. They are very social by nature and need to be with other pets for their socialization.

The adoption fee for a single kitten is $150, a pair of kittens is $200

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, combo tested, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
