My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Darla the Poodle Mix

This labradoodle or Afghan mix found herself in a shelter and was scared and nervous. We stepped up to get her into a foster home so we could get her the right family and get her some training.

Darla will need someone who will continue to show her how to be a confident girl and what to do when overly excited. She is still a large puppy so does jump a lot and gets nippy when overstimulated.

She is good with other dogs but is still learning proper play. She is taking corrections well from her foster siblings

Due to her jumping and still learning manners - we do not recommend children in the home

She is sleeping through the night in her crate and for naps perfectly and no accidents in the home yet! Loves her crate

She will be getting a good grooming soon!

Fully Vetted (spayed, bloodwork run, shots up to date)
Comes with 2 free dog training sessions

**She will need monthly grooming - please do not apply if you are unable to provide that to her

More about this rescue

“A Dog Rescue Doing More than Dog Rescue”
We are a young rescue (3rd year anniversary in Jan 2023), but we are here to lead the way of what rescue actually means and set the standard so others can follow.

We are doing more than just rescuing the dog.
We hold monthly group training classes for the community (yes, even those without rescue dogs).

We provide free training for our foster families.
We provide free training for our adoptive families.
We are doing more than just rescuing the dog, we are changing the pattern of surrendering by providing knowledge and education through our community.
It seems like a simple thought of course, but one that many rescue groups do not follow.
