Meet happy Petey! Petey is an approximately 2 1/2-year-old, 11-pound possible Jack Russell Terrier/Toy Fox Terrier mix. His markings are so cool - and we adore his all-black head with white chin and belly polkadots. He loves all dogs, including much bigger ones. He has fallen in love with his fur siblings in his foster home and follows them everywhere. He also likes to be picked up and carried around! Petey loves all people, has been around small kids with our rescue and adores them. He hasn't been around cats in our rescue. Petey is a smart and entertaining little guy, his little nubby tail wags with excitement. He is very joyful and jumps in circles and even follows people around in his foster home with cute little attention seeking barks, but so far isn’t a heavy barker. He enjoys chewing on Benebones. He likes to run and play in the backyard in short spurts, but is also happy to chill out on the couch. A secure fenced yard is required for him, as well as a doggy companion. General behavior: he rides well in a car, he’s getting used to the leash - he’s not bad, we think it just confuses him. He whines a little at first when put into the crate. He sleeps all night with his foster family in the human bed. He sat still for his first bath. Petey is house trained, but may mark a couple times in the beginning, which is normal. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and are looking for a happy, friendly little guy, Petey may just be your man! Please complete an app and tell us more about your family.
