This helps Logan's Heroes Animal Rescue Inc. with pet care costs.
Meet Kiley. Kiley came to us as part of an unwanted litter from a backyard breeder. She is mostly Belgian Malinois with possibility of Belgian Tervuren as there was one loose on the property. Her date of birth is 5/24/2024.
Kiley is as gorgeous and sweet as they come. She has lots of energy as can be expected with a puppy and this breed, but she is able to focus and learn. She is at first shy and distrustful of strangers, but quickly will come up and make friends if her person says it’s ok. Her favorite trick right now is ‘crate for cookies’ where she will run to her crate and jump in and wait for her cookie. She is just learning to sit - it took just a few minutes of concentrated focus without her sister’s interference in the process She loves a good belly rub. She is fine in her crate and will just sit there and relax or chew on her toy – even when she can see you. She is not fully housebroken even in her crate, but with a more regular schedule this will be a quick process. She likes to carry her food bowl around after she has emptied it - a small hint that maybe there should be some more?
She was only accidentally introduced to one dog so far, as she and her sister are together in her foster Mom’s tack room and horse barn. The dog she met was similar to the Daddy dog of Cesar Millan – basically super confident and non-reactive. She did bark quite a bit, but the other dog ignored her and she quickly settled down. I think Kiley would do well with a larger confident dog with not as high energy as she has. She has not been introduced to cats. I am sure she would chase them, but quickly learn that that is not acceptable. Kiley would like to have an active person in her life that will take the time to exercise with her and dote on her. Someone is going to be lucky to have this one! Kiley is now spayed, up to date with vaccines for her age and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450.00 If interested in Kiley, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.
