My name is Azul, but I respond to Saffi. I am Approximately 19 weeks old and I am on the smaller side weighing about 25lbs. I have longer legs and big feet. My Foster Mama doesn't know exactly what breeds I am but she tells me that I have the Most Gorgeous Eyes on the Planet. She says that my eyes are like Iced Ocean Blue and that they are Captivating. I am Spayed and I calm down in my kennel but I am still working on Potty training. I walk well on a harness, but choke myself walking on a collar because I feel like I need to pull away from my neck being cynched. I am good in the yard and with other dogs. I am a bit too playful with the cats but they are teaching me to back down by showing me the slap training. It surprises me and I sit down and wonder what just happened. Then the kitty gives me love and I like that. I have just figured out that there is something that follows me all the time so I run in circles trying to catch it, when I do catch it then I fall over because apparently it's attached to my Butt. My Foster Mama Laughs so hard and redirects my attention to a toy that I can control. Sometimes I pretend to be deaf if I am focused on something that interests me. I ride ok in the car but need a seatbelt attached to my harness so I don't cover Mom's face by hugging her while she drives. She says that is dangerous and we must be safe. I don't know what she means but I love it when she talks to me when I am focused on her. I still have some Learning to do, but I am still a Baby and I get distracted. My Foster Mama says that it's a puppy phase and that I have a lot of potential. Now I get to go to WI and find my own forever family fun/fun so excited. A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.
Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
