My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mars is an adorable Boston Terrier, 1 year old, with striking blue eyes—one of which recently underwent surgery. We’re not quite sure yet if he’ll be able to keep the eye, but it hasn't dampened his sweet and gentle spirit one bit. This little guy is full of love and joy, ready to become a cherished member of a loving home. He's currently working on house training and learning to walk on a leash. Mars is already crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night, making him well on his way to being the perfect companion. If you’re looking for a loving, happy puppy to fill your home with endless affection and puppy kisses, Mars is eager to meet you.

PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. FIRST step is to fill out a pre adoption application (www.polkadogz.org). We check vet references, personal references and do home visits before adopting any pet. We also help match the right pet to the right home. All current pets in household must be spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention (very important)
Adoption fees help us support all the dogs in our rescue, some of which cost thousands in medical bills. Thank you for caring about the greater good!

More about this rescue

We strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. We rescue many dogs with heartworms, injuries nad those who have been victims of severe neglect and/or abuse. Maverick is a perfect example. He is paralyzed and we work daily with him to hopefully help him walk again.
