My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(DOB 04/11/2024) Georgie is not yet spayed and for this reason she will a local adoption (within 1-hr drive of Wake Forest, NC). If you were immediately pulled in when you saw Georgie's sweet face w/cute "mask", adorable curly tail, and petite size, then wait until you hear about her amazing little personality!

Georgie is Brussels Griffon mix with a sweet and spunky personality! Georgie loves to play with both humans and dogs, and she has a special fondness for toys. One of her favorite activities is wrestling with her foster dad. When she’s not busy playing, she’s a great snuggler who will happily curl up with you. Plus, she’s also a fantastic car companion.

Georgie is working hard on her crate and house training and is making great progress. Due to Georgie's young age, a playful and sweet dog sibling would be the best option for her, it’s not a 100% must but her new family would need to commit to plenty of human & other dog socialization and interactions.

Due to her small size, Georgie would do best in a home with older kids. A fenced yard would be a bonus but isn’t required. With her adorable looks and lovable personality, Georgie is sure to bring joy to her forever family!

As part of Georgie’s $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered. 1. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story.

2. Complete the adoption application at https://pawsforlifenc.org. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home.

3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet.

4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions.

5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received.

6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement.

7. The adoption fee is $325 for dogs under 6 months, $300 for 6 months and older. The adoption fee is $125 for kittens under 1 year ($225 for 2 kittens), $85 for cats 1 year and older. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care.

8. All Paws For Life NC pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. Kittens under 6 months will require a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets.

Paws for Life NC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, 100% volunteer, foster-based, animal rescue founded in 2002 to help solve the problem of homeless dogs and cats in Franklin and Northern Wake Counties, NC.

Paws for Life NC focuses on reducing the overpopulation of dogs and cats in the community. 1. We provide foster homes for homeless / rescued dogs and cats and find them forever homes. 2. We offer low cost vouchers for spay neuter of pets in low income homes through our “SNIF” Program. 3. We attend county meetings to advocate for improvement in animal welfare.
