Meet Kiki, a gorgeous 5-year-old Standard Poodle Mix with a heart full of love to give. Kiki's journey began in a happy home where she thrived for her first three years. Sadly, after her beloved owner passed away, she was rehomed, but unfortunately, her new environment was not kind to her. For the past two years, Kiki endured mistreatment, particularly at the hands of a man, which has left her fearful and hesitant around men.

Despite her tough past, Kiki is gentle and loving, with no aggression in her. She may be shy and cower when men enter the room, but she shows great loyalty and affection towards women. Kiki feels safest when her primary caregiver is female, and she would thrive in a home with multiple women. If there is a man in the household, it’s important that he be patient, kind, and willing to give Kiki the space and time she needs. More importantly, he should be committed to working with her by joining in family walks, engaging her, and helping her world expand over time.

When Kiki arrived, she weighed just 39 lbs, but thanks to her healthy appetite, she’s now up to 50 lbs. With continued love and care, it won’t be long before she reaches her ideal weight of approximately 60-65 lbs, as recommended by her vet.

Kiki is incredibly loyal and well-behaved. She is a dream on a leash, loves her daily walks, and enjoys playing with her smaller canine friends. Having been raised with love and care for her first three years, she has excellent manners and is very obedient. Kiki needs a family who can remind her of the warmth and love she once knew and help her feel safe and cherished again.

If you're looking for a gentle, loyal, and well-mannered companion who just needs a little time and patience to trust again, Kiki is worth it. She’s ready to bloom in a home that understands her past and is committed to giving her the bright future she deserves.
