Meet Shrimp! She is also very playful and can be a bit rough at times. She loves to snuggle and is a wonderful cuddler. Her favorite toys are stuffed mice. She will carry them around with her. Shrimp is a licker! and your nose is her target, so are your cheeks too. You will find that she will sleep at the top of your head if you let her. She is great with small dogs but has not been around bigger dogs. She has not been with children either. Shrimp too will need an extra clean litter box. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
