Sweet, shy Charlie and her sister Echo are on their way north to Connecticut in search of a good time with new friends, open hearts and loving forever families.
Charlie and Echo are the last two siblings from a litter that ended up in a residential yard along with their mom. The southern folks kept the mom but needed to place the pups with a rescue organization. Charlie is a labrador retriever mix at 8 months old, 23 pounds and is estimated to grow up to be a medium sized dog (31-60 pounds).
Like all puppies, Charlie loves to explore her world and is particularly fond of big dogs and mud puddles. Digging around to see what she can find is also a favorite pastime. Charlie welcomes children to her playtime. Whether she is happy with cats is currently unknown.
Charlie is working on her house, leash, and crate training. Labradors are eager to please their human companions, so consistent, positive daily training with a regular routine will reward you with a well-behaved member of the household.
It is important to remember that rescue dogs and pups in training will have accidents as they adapt to a new home and new friends.
All the world is a new, exciting experience for puppies and if you enjoy discovering new people, places and games, Charlie will be the perfect companion and your new best friend forever.
The adoption fee for Charlie is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
