When it comes to our girl, seeing red means you are seeing a wonderfully beautiful and sweet girl. Meet our girl Red and you will agree that happiness comes in the form of this great canine. Red is a labrador retriever mix with the most stunning and soulful eyes. She makes her way into rescue after being found abandoned with her puppies and with the help of a kind person, she found her way to us. She is a young girl at around two years of age and is a medium size of around 44 pounds. She has a very loving nature and now that she has all her puppies spoken for by adoption, it is her turn to find a loving home as well.
Red can be shy when meeting new people, so a gentle approach, kind words, and a soft pat will help her to trust. She does well with other dogs and people but has not had the opportunity to meet young children or cats since coming into our care. What we do know is that she is loyal, highly intelligent and very observant of her surroundings. One of her favorite activities to do is to be fetching a tennis ball. She will look at the thrower to say sit, stay and then go. She follows the commands and at the word go will chase down the ball and bring it back.
She is learning the ropes of house training and is fully crate and leash trained. Red knows the command of potty outside so with more practice and patience she will get the hang of it in no time at all.
If you are looking for a travel companion, Red might just be your gal as she enjoys going for car rides. With her medium energy level, Red will enjoy one adventure after the other. She looks forward to being an active companion with lots of time with her family. Take a chance on Red and she will not disappoint.
The adoption fee for Red is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
