Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Cooper is a handsome 1 yr old hound/Shepard mix. He is housebroken, walks well on a leash and has moderate energy. Cooper is a puppy at one year so is still learning what is expected of him. He enjoys playing with toys, playing fetch and cuddling! Cooper is about 50 lbs and is smart as well as very loving. Cooper is good with kids but would probably do best with those who are 7 or older since he might knock over a little one. He was bullied by the other dogs in his household so for now he would do best as an only pet. He wants to please and would do best with a patient leader who will give him consistent guidelines and a regular routine. He had not been destructive in the home but has been supervised at his fosters. He has been bounced around so does require some confidence building. A six foot securely enclosed yard or an adult who will provide at least 2 30 minute walks and potty breaks during the day will be required. Cooper is a bit reactive to bikes, skateboards and loud vehicles but does love car rides. He will be the perfect companion if given a chance.

More about this rescue
We are an Animal Rescue Group. Our primary focus is to help to save animals who may be killed without our intervention. They often come from high kill facilities, abusive, or abandonment situations.
We have a strong commitment to reducing the numbers of animals in need, and require all rescued animals to be spayed or neutered, unless medically prohibited by a veterinarian. We endorse the dissemination of animal education and humane husbandry practices.
We work very closely with other rescues and no-kill shelters who share our mission. We raise money to pay for, or arrange foster care, transportation, and medical treatment. Our goal is successful permanent home placement.
