My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arlo is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!

This gorgeous boy came to us from Kentucky along with his two brothers and his mom, Rylee (who was adopted already!). Like mom, they were all born with the cutest little nub tails! Arlo has been living in a foster home with a family with five kids and two Irish Setter brothers.

He is looking for an adopter who will be understanding of his active lifestyle and breed, and his continued need for training using positive reinforcement. While Arlo loves everyone, he is in his "shark" phase of puppyhood where he likes to put his teeth on everything, including people! Luckily, he is very treat motivated and he is *super* smart!

Arlo is mostly housebroken if kept on a routine, and he is also crate trained!

Here is what else his foster mom has to say about him: "Arlo is quite possibly the cutest puppy ever!! He is tailless and tiny. When someone comes into the room or gets him out of his crate, he puts his ears back and wags his entire body, and grunts in happiness. We call this "piglet mode. This piglet loves to go on long walks and play in the yard. He could spend all day outside. He loves every dog and person he meets. An active home is the best home for Arlo, and I suspect he will be a great running companion when he's done growing."

Arlo's adoption fee is $400. This animal is neutered, and is up to date on core vaccines. Arlo will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age.
