My name is ABALONE!

Abalone is a spirited 2-year-old shepherd mix with a heart full of energy and a nose for adventure! This charming pup is always eager to get going and can’t wait to be outside exploring. When it’s time to leash up, Abalone is raring to go and may need a bit of patience to get him ready due to his excitement, but he quickly settles into a steady pace once out and about.

Abalone’s walk style is a mix of enthusiasm and curiosity. He loves to zigzag as he investigates every scent and keeps an eye out for squirrels and birds, showing his high prey drive. In fact, he may pull a bit on the leash to get a closer look at anything interesting! Although he sometimes finds crossing streets a bit intimidating, he’ll pause and lean into you for reassurance, showing just how much he trusts and bonds with his humans.

During playtime in the yard, Abalone’s playful side shines. He’ll run around and even engage in a bit of leash nibbling—he’s still learning what playtime looks like and might need some help in redirecting this energy. Once he’s had his fill of excitement, Abalone enjoys a calm, affectionate break. He loves to lean into your legs for pets and will even try to climb into your lap for a few face licks.

Ideal Home: Abalone would thrive in an active home with a patient owner who can provide him with consistent training, plenty of outdoor adventures, and positive guidance to help him polish his leash manners.
