My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Pali and team!

In May of 2016 Lux (aka Lily) and I found eachother at your Memorial Day event. Over the last 8 years we’ve pretty much grown up together! She was described as a senior dog then, but as luck would have, the old girl is thriving. Our vet estimates her to be between 15-17 now!

I’m reaching out as Lux is an alumni, and I know that once a “Rocket Dog, always a Rocket Dog.”

Over the last 2 years I’ve had 2 children, and while they adore Lux, I cannot say the feeling is mutual. She and I have been together long enough that I can tell she is visibly unhappy and not her usual self since our family has grown. In the last 12mo she has run away twice, despite having secure yard. She snaps at both babies (would never actually bite, she’s a sweetheart!!) and is showing signs of depression.

As much as I’d love to be selfish here and keep her within our tribe, I know deep down that she is no longer happy. I’d like to explore returning her to RD, and sponsoring her care until ado
