My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kip & Kylie

Kip is a fluffy handsome boy and Kylie is an adorable little girl. They are both approximately 11 months old. Both are house trained, up to date on their vaccinations, microchipped, and fixed (neutered & spayed). They are a bonded pair and are looking to be adopted together!

These two cutie-pies originally came from an outdoor colony. At the beginning they were very shy and skittish, but they have both flourished in foster care.

Kip has become a playful bundle of joy, who loves chirping and purring away. He has also become a giant cuddle bug, and absolutely adores the company of his humans.

Kylie is still a little shy, but has already come a long way. She will need a very patient and loving home, with a respectful space for her to come around on her own time. She’s very playful with Kip and they gallop all over the place, especially when she thinks nobody’s watching! Their fosters can see them chasing each other around all over the place on their camera. Kylie has become comfortable enough to be pet and quickly starts intensely purring with her foster mom. She follows her “brother”, Kip, everywhere he goes and copies a lot of his behaviours.

Once they have a home to call their own Kip will for sure quickly become a constant companion who’ll love to claim his human’s couch and lap, which over time will encourage Kylie to come out of her shell too!

Their ideal home should be calm without children or other very active animals (if any) and their human(s) should be around so they can get used to and comfortable with them. It would also be best if they are adopted by someone with previous experience with cats, especially because of Kylie’s difficulties in getting comfortable with the unknown.

Both are highly food oriented (they love Kittles and Churu!) which comes in handy in getting their trust! They have made a special impact on their fosters and we are positive they will be a fantastic addition to the right home.

If you think Kip & Kylie would do well in your home, please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form.

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.

We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.

We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.

We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals.
