Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.

Sparkles is about ten years old and weighs around 8 pounds. She's a cute little girl who has experience living with other dogs and a cat. She loves dinnertime, laying in the sun, and disappearing under blankets. She loves taking walks and needs a couple of blocks to warm up, but then she really starts prancing with a smile on her face and sometimes gets the zoomies if there's a big pile of leaves!

Sparkles is a little timid at first, so she needs a home that understands the fastest way to gain her trust is to let her go at her own pace. She's made huge progress with that during her time in her foster home in Madison, WI, and enthusiastically greets guests she's met before. She'd love to find a home with other calm dogs or she would also be fine as an only dog.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
