My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Just shy of 3 years old and weighing 80 pounds, Archie is a loyal and protective half German Shepherd mix who thrives on routine. He is food-motivated pup and eager to please, so he's easy to train. He’s mastered basic commands and can learn all kinds of ways to communicate, like using bells on the door and a doggy doorbell. He's not a fan of water, so if you need an occasional correction just holding a spray bottle is enough for him to stop anything he's doing.

He gets a bit over excited when his people return home, so he will go to his bed or grab his blanket for a minute to help him calm down if he's overwhelmed.

Archie needs a couple of hours of exercise each day and is best suited to a home where he can be the only pet, as he can resource-guard with other animals. If you can provide a stable, low-stress environment, ideally have no small children and minimal visitors, he is a smart and loyal companion. We can provide crate/bed/etc to help with start up costs.
