Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.

Peluche is about two years old and weighs around 17 pounds. Peluche means "stuffed animal" in Spanish and one can see why this adorable dog received this nickname as he is so perfect and cute just like a stuffed animal. After Peluche was able to join a foster home, he went to get groomed as he had lots of mats. While he looks a little different with his new short cut, we know his fur will grow back healthier and he will soon be a happy, fluffy dog again. Peluche has experience living with other dogs in his foster home. He will need an adopter committed to getting him groomed frequently so the same thing doesn't happen to him again.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
